As we celebrate our 18th birthday today, we’d like to thank the more than 5,000 children who have composed over 1,000 songs with us since 2002. We apologise to those children who have missed out this year due to recent school and studio closures around the world. We have managed to maintain some programmes online, but we know it’s not the same… We dedicate this anniversary to all the children and music leaders in Uganda and Madagascar who are suffering so much poverty and isolation due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We honour our colleagues in Jinja, who have swiftly become farmers, growing their own crops and distributing much needed supplies to their local community. Their hard work and selflessness are an inspiration to us all.
