On 18th April 2025, at Discovery Centre in Jinja, Uganda, we hosted our inaugural “Anti-Corruption Song Festival.”
60 children and young people performed their own compositions, expressing their thoughts, concerns and suggestions around the issue of corruption. Each song contained a strong message, carefully crafted by the young songwriters.
Saxophonist Happy Kyazze from Kampala was our special guest, performing among others, his own piece, “Emirembe” (meaning “Peace” in Luganda), which he composed and recorded at Discovery Centre 12 months earlier.
The event was brilliantly hosted by our very own Patron and friend, Justus Archangel.
Each participant received a special gift and a hearty lunch. Our deep gratitude goes to everyone at Discovery Centre for their wonderful hospitality.
Watch this space for the release of a commemorative album later this year!
